Meet Tim Hogan
Founder | FAA-Certified UAV Pilot | Survey Mapping Specialist

Tim Hogan is the owner and operator of Steel City Drones, combining precision drone flight with real-world surveying knowledge. As an FAA Part 107 Certified Pilot since 2016, Tim has mapped over 200 sites across the Southeastern United States, supporting surveyors, engineers, and construction professionals with high-accuracy LiDAR and aerial data.

Tim knows what quality mapping looks like — from the sky and the ground. With over five years on a professional survey crew, he delivers the data surveyors need, done right the first time. His work delivers clean, georeferenced data that’s ready for CAD, GIS, and design workflows.

Tim’s background as a college baseball player taught him the value of discipline, preparation, and perseverance — qualities he brings to every client relationship. Whether it’s a topographic survey, construction site scan, or large-area LiDAR project, Tim is committed to getting it right the first time.
